Do not book via Booking.com, agoda.com,pricline.com,trivago.com all of tem owned by Pricline Group
I booked a room over the Christmas period on the basis of being able to cancel for free (as per booking.com's advertising). I was hoping to stay 2 nights but wasn't sure if I'd find somewhere at that time of year, so I just booked what was available. When I did find somewhere for 2 nights and cancelled the original booking, I was charged the full amount by the property anyway. Turns out there is something about this in the fine print. This is blatantly misleading and I consider it to be false advertising. Will not be using them again in a hurry.
UNSECURE - BOOKING.COM HAS BEEN HACKED your credit card and personal details are not safe
Booking.com has been hacked and customers personal, booking and CREDIT CARD details are not safe. I recently stayed at a 5 star hotel in Auckland NZ and tonight received a call from someone who said they worked there and apologised for an overcharge of gst from our last visit because they had been upgrading their accounting software and that they were issuing all the affected customers refunds. They had all our names, room type when we stayed and credit card number on file. I was cooking dinner at the time and as he had all the correct infor mation he managed to trick me into confirming the csv number, it happened all so fast, I couldn't believe it I had been scammed and the scammer got my details from a supposedly secure site. PLEASE be careful do not fall for this trick I was lucky my partner realised once I told him and only lost $6 because it took an hour for me to get my card cancelled.
Booking.com Take No Responsibilites For Their Mistakes
Used booking.com to book a hotel and since the site froze and received no confirmation or any contact from them what so ever, decided we must of not got the booking only later to be charged for accommodation as a no show. Booking.com told us it wasn't their problem and hung up. After calling several times they claimed to not have our email address so couldn't send us confirmation though after speaking to the hotel we were informed booking.com have them our email address so they could contact us. No email they said even though we have received n umerous emails offering special last minute deals. They do not care about travellers nor do the take responsibility for their mistakes. They are shonky and untrustworthy and I deeply regret ever using them. Will steer clear of them from now on
Booking.com Worst worst company ever
We booked a room through Booking.com, and the reviews were good. When we got there, the room and service were horrible. I came home and wrote a review on their site about the hotel. I few days later, it went missing. I wrote it again, and again, they deleted it. I wrote in to ask them if it was against their terms of use (I was careful to write factually, not emotionally or with opinions). They said they would get back with me, but they never did. I saw other people commenting on Booking.com about the same hotel with similar issues, saying their reviews were going missing as well. Booking.com was deleting any reviews that did not show this hotel in a positive light. You cannot trust Booking.com's reviews to be accurate.

BOOKING.COM Has Hidden Charges And Conditions. Beware
Never believe any good reviews on booking.com nor the information that they display on their website. They make so much claim of no cancellation fees, no reservation fees, etc. there is always a hidden fee that you will never have thought about and they jump on you when you cancel.
Booking.com charges your credit card immediately for a reservation done. When I contacted them they claimed it is the hotel that did that and not them. When I asked why they didn't even indicate that clearly on their website, they pointed that it is there and that y ou need to click on a small icon to get that notice.
Another act of dishonesty by Booking.com is that the price that they highlighted in BOLD on their website is not the price that charge you. They have the cheek to give an impression of there are NO HIDDEN FEES through their lengthy outline of the no reservation and cancellation and other fees but quietly pop in a transaction fee when you have confirmed. When you asked about it, they pointed that it is stated in their website under a small icon.
You basically have to scrutinise every hidden details to ensure that you don't make any mistake booking.

Booking.com disgusting service ever
I booked a twin room in Sydney for myself and a friend visiting from UK. At the point after clicking on twin room there wasn't a warning to say that twin room wasn't guaranteed. When got to hotel found didn't have a twin room. Hotel said should have booked with them directly. Rang Booking.com - they said room cofiguration not guaranteed and I should have known as this information was on website!! obviously if this was clear at time of booking I would have gone elsewhere. When I rang, there was no attempt by Booking.com to help or compensate or refund. Attitude was too bad I should have known room configuration was not guaranteed!!!
Don't use this site Booking.com, they lie and cheat
We booked hotels on the basis of the ad on booking.com that says "the price you see is the price you pay" and found out this is a lie. Hotels can and do charge commissions, service fees and taxes on top of the price quoted.
Don't book Booking.com
I have used booking.com before and not had a problem but when something goes wrong you are on your own. We ended up in LA with no accommodation just before New Year and no option for anything close to what we had. They offered us an apartment that you wouldn't put a dog in after about 10 hours of calling them. In the end I booked some accommodation myself (after being up for 30+ hours at that time). I have called them about 15 times and keep emailing but still no refund or help at all
Booking.com, agoda.com,pricline.com, Pricline Group
I booked a Hotel with bookings.com. by the time they got back to me it was too late to change my booking. They gave me 24hrs to respond to their email. with screen shots of rates that were advertised. They then got back to me 2 days later, told me it was too late to do anything about it. I was charged an extra $25 for a room. The Flagstaff Inn in West Melbourne was a filthy place with mice, rubbish in the exits, which bookings.com told me housekeeping hadn't go to that day. It had been there for more than one day, there were dirty nappies and r ubbish. The staff were very unhelpful and I was told by bookings.com it was a miscommunication because of the language barrier. I am Australian and stayed in Melbourne? Would not recommend booking with them ever. They are so unhelpful and obviously only after their percentage of bookings!
Booking.com Overcharged $100 above the agreed price
Booked a hotel using this service. They simply handed the hotel my credit card details, allowed the hotel to charge their usual rate (not the rate that was advertised on booking.com nor the rate I received a confirmation for) and won't engage in any discussion over a refund. I am now $100 out of pocket. Don't bother using them. Their low rates are not genuine.
Booking.com Terrible, worst booking experience ever
booked 3 villas. two months later I've contacted the owner to ask a question and found that one of these villas doesn't exist! after couple of stressful weeks, they asked me to book another villa which was more expensive promising that the difference will be refunded after our stay. when I went to the booked villa, owner said booking.com cancelled your reservation! just imagine my situation taking 36 people with me (was a bushwalking trip). we were fortunate that no one else booked this villa. I was expecting them to refund the difference but t hey started to ask silly things and rejecting the invoice I received from owner of the accommodation. now I should beg for my own money. I'm secretary of a bushwalking club with 6000 fan page in facebook, I will make sure none of these 6k followers use booking.com services again
Terrible. Do not use Booking.com
Booked an overnight stay at a hotel on our way to Adelaide. A few days before leaving I recieved an email saying the card payment did not go through & to put it through again, which I did, and the money was withdrawn from my bank account. Upon arrival there was no booking under our name! So the poor receptionist said it was the 2nd customer that day it happened to. On top of that we paid an extra $15 dollars to use booking.com than if we went straight through their website. We had to email our bank statement to show we had paid, an overpriced disaster. Do not use them, go directly through whatever hotel you are staying in.
Booking.com Worst booking experience ever encountered
Booked for 4 nights stay at doubletree Hilton through booking.com with email confirmation.turned up at the hotel and they did not receive my booking at all!hotel managed to give me only 2 nights as they were fully booke and I had to call up booking.com to find me another hotel for the remaining 2 nights which was a 3 star hotel.wasnt a good experience for my pregnant wife and myself.steer clear of this website!!
Booking.com avoid them
I used Booking.com, terrible and disgusting company, because the company claims that there are "no booking fees" and that thisparticular accommodation has "no cancellation fee". It also has a "Best Price Guarantee". Yet there was no other way to pay except by credit card -- so the additional 2% was forced upon me.
But what was worse was that when, a day later that same March, I decided to amend my April trip to 3 nights instead of 6 nights, I was refunded for 3 nights, but then charged ANOTHER 2% by Booking.com on the price of the refunded amount to my credit card!
The reason given by Booking.com was that this additional 2% was for charges to refund money to my Amex credit card! Unbelievable!
That same month in March, I rang and emailed Booking.com to complain about this unfair surcharge, but all their customer service offered me was a $15 refund to make up for it. They then asked me to send them a copy of my credit card statement as well as the accommodation's invoice upon check out even though my trip was in April the next month. I have had to wait a whole month to take the next step to follow-up on this problem.
In April, the actual and final invoice by the Accommodation was nearly $150 LESS than what had charged to my credit card. In other words, I now realise that Booking.com has significantly overcharged me for my booking.
Here is the breakdown of the charges to my credit card (I have all the relevant quotes, receipts and statements of account, as proof):
17 March 2015, AUD$649, price calculated on Booking.com website, inclusive of taxes.
18 March 2015, AUD$1363.74 charged to my card for 6 night stay.
18 March 2015 AUD$688 refunded to my card for amendment to 3 night stay.
14 April 2015 AUD$526.20 invoiced by the accommodation.
There is obviously a BIG discrepancy in the charges, and I am disgusted that Booking.com has only offered to refund me a mere AUD$15, even though they have overcharged me by almost AUD$150.
As a customer, I am very disappointed that Booking.com has failed to honor its Best Price Guarantee and its claims of no booking or cancellation fees. It is now mid-April, and I am STILL waiting for Booking.com to resolve this problem since mid-March. Until Booking.com resolves my complaint, I would recommend to others NOT to use Booking.com.
POST UPDATE:
in the end, I gave up on Booking.com after waiting nearly one month. I rang up my credit card company instead and emailed them a copy of the receipt and record of discrepancies. American Express immediately stopped the payment to Booking.com and reversed the amount that was in dispute. Amex's service was fantastic. The moral of the story is that IF you have to use Booking.com, make sure your credit card company will back you up in a dispute. In my case, I was fortunate that American Express supported me

Avoid Pricline Group
Avoid PriceLine Group!!!
I have made a reservation on 08.10.2015 for 1 night stay at Hostel 44 and my cheking in was supposed to be on 11.10.2015. At 11:00 PM I arrived at 13 Kyrnigradska str. and was totally shocked to find out that the hostel (Hostel 44)does NOT EXIST!!!
Furthemore, according to the people who were living nearby, there was no such place at that address in the past at all or any other sort of accommodation. According to the neighbours, 5 moths ago at the same address somebody has given several rooms for rent (part of his/he r apartment), but the Bulgarian authorities had shut them down.
So, at 11 o'clock in the evening me and a friend of mine, had to stay on the street in the pouring rain, without an idea where to go. Only the fortune, had brought us to a Jewish hotel ( Levitt hotel), which was completely full at that time ( just as several other places we had the chance to check before) , but the staff was kind enough to leave us in the kitchen and saved us from sleeping on the street during a severe rain storm. The staff explained to us that this is not the only time they accommodated guests, who were cheated by booking.com
How can you explain the non-existing hostel, promoted on your criminal website?
In my opinion, you are promoting fake accommodations in order to get access to my credit card details and to use them for criminal purposes.
That is why, I have made a plea to the Police and the Bulgarian authorities, so that they could start an investigation towards Booking.com.
Due to my short visit to [name removed], I have authorized a laywer [name removed] From Levitt law center a to take legal actions against Booking.com and to ask the court to ban this website on the territory of Bulgaria.
I will turn this matter to Israel authorities to take legal action against this terrible and disgusting way to make money and to ban booking.com on the territory of Israel. ALSO i will do everything to prevent other people

Take care Booking.com is terrible
Take care. The terms and conditions are written by the hotels and not Booking.com. If they are vague or unclear Booking.com will not help you. Very poor customer service - they have a script and won't go outside it. Best to use Booking.com to find the deal and then book directly with the Hotel - at least then you can cancel the transaction.
Book now pay later is a scam.Booking.com
We booked a hotel in London for September. The booking was made in April and paid in full - booking.com said it was guaranteed. Until last week when we got an email saying our booking was cancelled as the hotel would be closed. I checked booking.com and it was still accepting reservations for the same hotel, same room type, same dates. More expensive now, though. I called to query why my reservation was cancelled and they said the hotel had overbooked so some reservations were being cancelled. No apology, no compensation and we are out in the cold and looking for new accommodation. Shame on you, booking.com!
I will never use this site booking.com, agoda.com,pricline.com,kayak.com again. I have used it for the last few years and never had to pay that day of booking, as I usually pay on the day of arrival. My stay isn't until Octoberand was going to save up the money but no they charge your credit that same day! DONT BELIEVE the book now pay later crap......now I'm short of money until next pay!
Booking.com SCAMS
We paid $390.84 for an apartment that we could not & would not stay in. Walls, blinds, furniture, outdoor furniture was either broken or filthy. Photos on your site are nothing like the real thing. Feeling ripped off, big time. Money lost, not refundable.
